    Looking for advice.

    Hi all,

I've been searching for a 325ix for some time and when I found this listing I dug in.
    Take a look...

So from what it says, it looks great but pull a Carfax and you get a different story.

2003: An accident in MA caused structural damage.
2010: In NY another accident and insurance declared this a total loss. But the title remained "Clean" since the DMV and Insurance may have a different definition of "Total Loss"

This car also has 231,201 Miles.

What do you think the value is?
$6k seems like a big risk for this car.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have a Zinno 325e 4 door, it was sort of a barn find ,over this past summer we spruced it up and three weeks after getting on the road, it got rear ended and the insurance claimed it a total loss due to structural damage. The same thing happened to me though, the DMV told me that the title would remain clean, but any insurance company can see that it was totaled and you would likely have a raised rate. And the insurance company can blame the previous damage for any future accidents if they see fit, (Like going in the ditch or something) I would keep looking, that price is way too high for a car with a grey title like that IMO

I'd pay 3500 tops, but even then, I think it's a little too risky.

This would be a pretty good buy at 2500-3k probably

          Thanks for the replies!
I told them that it was too much of an unpredictable purchase and everyone I was asking said not to pay more than $2k.
Waiting for the next one is probably a better choice. Thanks guys.

Is your heart set on an IX? I'm out here in the Elmira, NY and there is a decent Alpine White 2 door SETA auto for sale in Rochester, NY, guy said he would take $2000 for it.

he is asking double of what the car is worth. Stay away. There are good deals out there if you are willing to travel.

I'm really hoping to get my hands on an IX.
Not is a crazy rush to buy so I figure I'll shop til the right one pops up.

Thanks for the link tho. If you happen to see an IX, Lmk.
