    That darned fuel gauge!

Okay, the two E30s that I've owned had the fuel sensor start to wig out. My first black one was already wigging out when I purchased it, at 199k miles.

My new oddball-brown, as I call it, started wigging out at 150001 miles.

When was your fuel gauge's time?
My drinking team, has a racing problem.

Anyone have an aquarium? If you want fish, let me know.

77k, I think the SI batteries are the cause as my temp and fuel guage started to wig out at the same time.

Make sure the nut on the back of the gauge is tight and that should make it stop i did that to mine and it worked.

Mine is all boogered-up. It will go from saying I have 3/4 of a tank to 1/2 a tank in like 10 miles. It's prolly a combination of the SI batteries and the ground nut.

I have close (I think) 250k on my ETA.. the fuel gauge reads perfect...when I take a long right or left hander, it does sink down (which can happen) but reads the right amount after going straight again...

Word. I got used to my first e30. I just guesstimated the distance in relation to how many gallons I had filled up on.

my cars got 286 000km's and my fuel gauge is going. when u start it up the gauge reads full until you drive for like 20 minutes then it starts reading true is it time to get a new one?

about the instrument lights try taking them out of the back of the instrument cluster and cleaning and bending their contacts outwards i had the same problem and replaceing them with used serviceable bulbs did nothing so i bent the contacts and they worked
