    shipping an engine???

    Interested in shipping an engine for my e30. What companies do you guys/gals use? The engine would be shipped from St. Louis to Boise Idaho.

      Is 500.00 to ship an engine seem right???? I just checked with uship. Of course it is 300 if you have a dock and fork lift on both ends?????:)

              It won't be much cheaper but you can ship an engine from one fastenal location to another through fastenal. You just have to pick it up and drop it off at the store

                          Seems like if it is on a pallet, you can ship it with UPS/Fedex/DHL Freight. No idea on cost though, but they usually have lifts on their trucks and a pallet jack to make things easy.

                            strap it to a pallet and then box it in the pallet with 2x4's and ply wood. Take it to a freight company and they will put it on one of there trucks and take to the closets hub to its destination and then the buyer has to go and pick it up and sign the bill of lading. Thats how I ship motors.
