Well yesterday somebody ran a red light and i was hard on the brakes and blew the hard line running underneath the car. bleh! i think the stealership will sell the unbend hardlines but dont want to deal with the idiots at the parts department. anyone have the screen shot of the hard brake lines running from the abs unit to the rear of the car? how about the fuel lines too, and all of the other brake lines, might as well replace em all. thanks!
Anyone have part numbers for brake hard lines?

I'm really trying to motivate myself to redo all my hard lines. The absence of pre-bent lines makes it sound like a horrible job. For just bulk lines, go to Jegs, flare and bend it yourself, its pretty cheap. If you do it, take pics and do a writeup please.
Fuel is easy, get flexible hose.Comment

I think in a way it's easier with straight lines instead of prebent. It could be really hard to slide a prebent line into position with all the little bends it has.Comment

Just get the dealer lines. They are pre-flared, well made and aren't expensive at all. I replaced all the hard lines in the rear on my 85 325e and it was cheap.Originally posted by browntownI'm really trying to motivate myself to redo all my hard lines. You don't want to run flexible line for the entire length of the car. It's not made for the wear and tear.Originally posted by browntownFuel is easy, get flexible hose.

Yay Im doing this as well!
I just purchased my bender and flaring tool and now all I need are the lines and the fittings! Ill be doing ALL of the lines in the rear... Ive just been putting it off and now Im going out of town for a while so I have to wait longer.
If I feel like it, Ill attempt a write up but I have never done one before...Keep on Keepin' on.

You do know how to make a 'bubble' flare, right? It's not the same as a double flare.
Seriously, you'd be better off buying lines from the dealer.
