Made a few new things for my s50 swap like new tabs for the coolant tank (had to move it backward .5") and a new power steering res mount. Factory e30 location was in the way of the intake hose, and the OE e36 position is stupid.
My business partner also decided to make an anchor tab for the aluminum 90* bend for the pod filter, as well as the upper radiator bracket for this e36 radiator. Its 3/16" aluminum with some lovely dimple dies. More for style than anything else. We'll be making an "air box" that will seal against the hood of the car.
The OE m20 and m42 cooling systems are stupid (annoying to bleed and inefficient), which is why we decided to keep the self bleeding coolant tank from the s14b23 which burps air from the port on the head (under the intake manifold) and feeds coolant down directly into the block.
Did the wiring myself, made it as factory looking as possible. Fit under the cover, and put the diagnostic port in the factory e30 location. Only have to extend 4 wires.
I'll take a pic of how I have the fan circuit installed in the morning. Some folks might appreciate that!
