Got a digital camera today, finally

My wife sold her old car (with a thrown rod), so after paying some overdue bills and stuff, we decided it was time to buy a digicam. We got a Sony DSC-P32.

Pretty nice camera. It takes great pics, and it's 3.2 megapixel, which isn't the highest, but it's plenty high for us. It was on sale for $179.99 at Fred Meyer, and then %10 more off of that, so we got a pretty good deal.

i need to get myself some re-charagbles. my batteries die before i can shoot all the pics off of the ORIGINAL card. it would go through like 24 batteries if i had an upgraded card.

        and batteries arnt cheap.

The normal person will notice very little difference from a 3.2 mp 4x6 photo, compared to a 5mp 4x6 photo. It's when you start blowing them up to past 8x10 that you start noticing differences. That camera doesn't have any optical zoom, does it?

Look around on the net for batteries. JVC wants like $60 for their OEM one, but I've found them for $14 on eBay, and $16 on other places around the web.

I was really close to getting that one at Fred Meyer too. It was like $200 or so, but I decided to get the JVC for all of the manual features. A friend of mine has that Sony and it's great to carry around because of its small size. Good score!

I was seriously considering buying that camera awhile back yeah no joke maybe when i see some photos i might change my mind i dunno.
                :P
It seems like a pretty good camera from when i was doing a bit of research about it and pricing it out.

                Lets here some feedback. :D

I loved my sony and love my current sony. My parents even bought a sony.

One thing that is great man is those energizer lithium AAs, I used those all the time in my old sony that took AAs. Now both of ours take the li-ion batteries in plastic.
                  Im now E30less.
