There is NO law saying that someone can shoot you if you are known to have a gun on you. The law states if you fear for your life, you are justified in using any force needed to remove that threat.

i get this shit all the time - i should scan the letter that my parents got about 5 years ago about my driving down the street.. apparently my exhaust "diminished the enjoyment of their homes".

If i'm driving the e36 (stock exhaust) i rarely get any flack. I usually do about 30 down my parents street, but so does everyone else, so i could give a shit. But i leave the e30 in second and do about 30 and everytime i have old ladies turn out of their garden beds to stare at me, this one woman sees me comming and PICKS UP HER DOGS in fear that i may do something to them and then stares at me the whole way down the street, another sits in a delapidated lawn chair in her driveway and waves her hand in protest when i come over at the "noise" it causes.

You're a better man then I am, Josh. I used to just get fed up with it in High School. I would come home at 12:30 in the morning and do about 60 down my street - all the way through first and second before shutting it down to pull into the culdesace. But that was years ago. Now i just leave it in first and do exactly the speed limit (about 6k in first). People who think they have the right to police me can go to hell. And i don't feel bad in the least, my dad drives the e30 club car down the street at like fucking 50 and the same old bitches glare at him.

Funny thing is, one of the neighbors that bitch about my and my dads cars and the noise they created came over and asked some advice about how to take water spots out of their paint. Pretty ballsy.

i should also note that i routinely get complaints in my apartment complex for noise from my e30... this car just doesn't draw the love from the over 30 crowd.

he could give a shit. when we had our 66 stingray he used to light them up around two corners comming into our street and smoke it for a half a block. I was like 10 at the time... i guess he was a bad influence.

and josh had my dads old car - unless josh has modified the exhaust, the one that was on it sounded pretty damn good, but it was not that loud at all compared to a lot of cars out there, so i have a hard time believing that his car causes that many problems

I also still have the Magnaflow, which is an awesome exhaust. The only time it's REALLY loud is if I really stand on it, which I don't in the neighborhood.

I live in the sticks so I don't have the neighborhood issue (for the most part) but there is one road near me that leads to the local lake/beach/boat launch and all that jazz. It's a long windy dirt road and with a car as low as mine I really don't drive it that fast, but as we've all experienced people are fucktards. It's a Class V road which means and automatic 30 MPH limit. Someone has put up and hand painted sign halfway down saying the speed limit is 15 which is probably closer to my actual speed. Even though I behave I still keep finding notes on my car asking me to drive slower. Finally I got fed up with it and just rip the road as fast as I can and drift every corner. I haven't gotten a complaint since...

pulled up into (what was currently) a no standing zone. it was quiet, and i only had to run into the post office to post something. the whole time, this older lady is watching, nay, staring at me and the car. i get out, she walks a bit, turns around, stares some more.

I thought she was going to tell me off for parking in the no standing, so i'm thinking up some witty remark. then she tells me she loves the e30, and wanted to know what year/model it was. haha, turns out she has an e28.

i hate the people in germany always yelling and cussing at me for driving to slow in my truck!
The street infront of my house is a 20 zone, noone does 20, and it pisses me off- I have a daughter- but i never sayanything unless it is the idiot ricers trying to show me how loud/fast their junk is.
and contrary to what many of you think, it is illegal to accelerate too fast- I personally got a ticket for launching at a stop sign in my 1964 Chrysler back in 1993 in Chicago. ticket was for unsafe driving.

If your really doing the right thing, fu*k the idiots, and it shouldnt bother you.
