FAILED MA State Inspection for B&B Exhaust!!

What a state this has become! I was failed, with a RED R, not a black one, for having a B&B cat back on my cabrio.

Anyone else? Anyone ever dispute the failure with the RMV?

    What did you fail for?

You sure it is your exhaust?
Not an o2, catalytic converter, or vacuum leak?

Yeah, I have never had a problem like that, I am used to failing for emmissions, but thats also b/c my Mercedes is a shitbox, but they shouldn't fail you safety for that!

Better yet, sell the B&B to me, and solve both our problems at the same time.;)

Hey Ray, you need to move a few miles farther north :) Just had the E30 inspected after moving to NH a few months ago. The mechanic who did the inspection told me I could do practically anything to the exhaust because they don't wand the car or put it on a dyno or anything. He just looked for exhaust leaks.

July last year. Need to be stock from cat to end. Headers are ok.

The story was....."anything at all louder than stock". I swapped a stock eberspacher onto it today and it passed. I will swap the b and b back tomorrow.

                            Mass sucks.

Pretty fucking gay that they gave you a safety rejection. I definitely would not go to that place in the future.
