Yea he bought one. Honestly, I really like the car. I never liked them at all until i drove his. Interior is high quality, luxurious with lots of sporty accents. The manual is a lot of fun to drive. Really feels similiar to driving the E46.

I agree, IS300s are like inexpensive, reliable E46s.

not that bad of cars. the engines rae really crappy for the amount of power the 3.0L puts out. but then drop in the turbo system from a supra and you got 700hp :)

they respond really well to bolt ons for having modern electronics as well. and of course they handle well

Yea, my plans for the e36 M3 fell through (some wholesaler was willing to pay more than me for the car than i think it's worth, prolly a BS dealership story), and then decided that buying a 8yr old car with 70K miles on it just isn't smart for what i want to do.

I plans of getting a new chassis, possibly even an extremly high mileage e30 M3, parking it, parting out the e30 i have now, and use the money to restore the e30 m3. If i'm going to turbo the e30 i have now, or buy the e30 m3, i need something new, with a warranty, and worry free for the next couple years.

Not to mention, at higher speeds, it will walk e46 325s and hold up with e36 M3s and 330i's, i ran with chris's M3 pretty well. I lost, but hey, it holds it's own.

Can't complain when you drive a lexus with double wishbone suspension on all four corners, 12" discs with 2 piston calipers on all four corners behind 17" wheels, with a 3.0L with VVT-i that is electronically limited to 143.7mph, but aerodynamically limited to 155mph, and yet remians to 0-60 under 7sec, and 1/4mi in under 15sec. All that powered by a 5spd with a unbelievably short shift (i don't even have to move my arm, just the wrist.

Not to mention, Rice mods (taillights, 90mm exhaust tips) that come stock on the car, LOL!!!

I love it. I looked at bimmers, but like i told the guys over at IS300.net and euroteknik, the 330i/330Ci is just not $11,000 better than the IS300. ALMOST bought the G35 coupe 6spd (which the IS DEFINITELY NEEDS), but they were hard to find, and didn't want to wait 3months to get one. I drove the auto, and it isn't as smooth as i would like, but the auto was RIDICULOUSLY SLOW.

Oh well. Like a McDonalds commercial, I'm lovin it, crowing like a rooster.

is 300 is a nice car. i dont like lexus much, but they make nice cars.

good stuff, me and my boss tore one up in hllywood. we had it as a rental as his gs400 was being fixed. fun car.
