    favorite car oriented movies

here are mine, i just got to thinking about it last night. list yours in order as well.
    1. Gone in 60 secs (broad band of car types, all around awesome movie, chase scenes, exotics as well)
    2. Smokey and the Bandit (cmon, you cant say you didnt wanna go out and buy a trans am after that one, hoss)
    3. Cannonball run ( sweet movie, loved it)

Worst, most overrated car movies of all time
    - Bullitt ( yeah the chase scene is fine, but you have to wade through an hour or so of bullshit for that scene)
    - Fast and Furious ( because Vin Diesel is a pansy ass who knows shit about cars, and usually floorpans dont fall out at high speed. also NOS is a brand, not a saying)

i know i forgot alot, but lets here them

Gone in 60 seconds, the Original, not the Jerry Bruckheimer abortion
    Le Mans - Godly
Grand Prix - Another great bit of film making.
Vanishing point - some of you kiddies might recognize it as the video that Sound-er, Audioslave rips off for their "show me how to live" video
Ronin - One of the best "modern" car chase flicks, no stupid CGI or special effects

    -Charlie
Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

          Yes. Driven was not bad.

How about the movie with Tom Cruise for NASCAR - Something Lightning?

          Gone in 60 Seconds, definately!

Ronin - my dad bought that just for the chase scene :P

How bout in Tomorrow Never Dies - the parking garage chase scene in the 7 Series? That was pretty sweet - minus the ending..

And, has anyone seen any of the Mischief movies? my friend bought all of them, and they aren't bad. Some funny stuff - not really "movies" per say.. ;)

There's probably others I'm just not thinkin of.

                -Ronin
-both Gone in 60 seconds, the first one's chase scene is far better but the rest of the movie is painfully boring to watch
                -Bullitt
-Vanishing Point, first saw this on Speedvision a few years ago, can't find it in video stores anywhere
                -Smokey and the Bandit
                -both Cannonballs

                      Then you've never seen Bullitt.

BTW, ToplessE30, that wasn't an M5. It had the badge on the back, but it wasn't an ///M.

No, the e34 In Ronin did have a ///M5 badge on it, but the car was not a M5. It was a base model 520i.

Bullitt or Ronin? That is the question I have on the two....both are amazing...

I haven't seen very many car movies..
However, since I have an obsession with old minis..
My favorite movie with a car chase scene in it is the Bourne Identity.

Ronin, best car chase I've ever seen. Didn't "The Rock" have an ok one?
