Their are probably more e30 salvaged title cars that are in the end cleaner and nicer than e30s with a prestine title

There are a ton of crappy cars period regardless of title. A rebuilt title DOES reduce value, although it is not as significant as the majority of cars aren't worth that much to begin with.

From a buyer's perspective, I would use a rebuilt title to get the best price possible if its a car I really wanted as long as the repair and damage are documented.

From a seller's perspective i would say "its a quality repair, no issues blah blah blah" but i would sell it at a discount because rebuilt title cars are harder to move due to financing and insuring.

This thread almost gives me cancer.

But just to throw something constructive in the mix, I feel like it's a little ridiculous to say that en e30 with a salvage title is worth nothing. I would agree to the POSSIBILITY that its actually worth nothing if the damages were not fixed correctly. I don't think it would be a very logical decision to rule out the idea that an e30 with a salvage title could have just fender bender type damage seeing that most insurance companies total them with the slightest damage.

I guess my point is that maybe times are transitioning a little bit. It's pretty plausible that more and more e30s are popping up with salvaged titles that have no significant damage. Does it mean we should be paying clean title prices? I think it's a little too early for that, but I also dont agree that theyre worth just their residual value. Usually when I buy e30s I dont intend on selling them so to me it wouldnt be worried about a salvage title as much. Just as long as a thoroughly looked at the car to ensure there wasnt significant damage.

operations manager is just a title guys. lets remember it does't depict the overall condition and level of repair.....

Lol its a great title, but it is still middle class. You're probably still in the same tax bracket as a lot of the adults with jobs here.

Check and try to find out why it was a salvage title. Some are theft recovery and have no body damage.

Agreed it's not worthless, but you catch my drift. Only those that new to power slide it wanted one , then drifting really took of in the states. Made a relative cheap good car into an expensive one.

But I almost had one before the drift tax really hit , would of been $1200 but I went for an rx7 gsl, for $300.

That car took a beating, best $300 ever.

Ask anyone that has met me: I fucking drive the shit out of my beautiful e30. That's why I bought it.

    Balance unlike any other.

OP, I bought my E30 for $1700 back in 2010. Prices have went up dramatically since then but these have never bothered me because I enjoy driving MY car. I agree with you to an extent on the pricing but what it boils down to is market value. I experienced this when I had a 240SX as well.

Dipshits like to try and insult me by saying I clean toilets. I set the record straight. If it bothers you too bad.

I have never cleaned a toilet as a means of employment.

I don't put people down when it comes to their employment, but when you do so towards me I will set you straight.
