I've seen worse jerry rigged stuff than that since I come from the bush down here (and we have some of the roughest roads in the world).
You guys should check out Bush Mechanics - it's a car enthusiasts show that follows the story of some Aboriginal guys from the Northern Territory who do just about anything to keep their cars going - in the outback down here sometimes you have no choice but to make do, because you're in such a remote area that no help will ever come... while you're alive anyway! I hope they make a second season one day, the first season was gold.
