    The Flood

Im going to start this off by saying first, That i didnt see the massive pond. And second i wasnt losing my car in any circumstances.

Ok, As most of you know its been raining like nuts on the east coast. Well. Its been raining non stop here for a week. Its fucking depressing.
Well tonight like usual im going to hang out with some friends. I pick them up and we start toward the interstate on ramp.
im averaging about 40mph. I think posted was like 45. But my car was foggin up like a bitch so i had to keep wiping the windshield. But the farther toward the ramp i get the more i start to notice theres about 4 foot of water where the ramp should be. By the time i slow down im stuck right in the middle . With 4 people as the payload.
The engine lights all come on, Oh fuck i thought. What should i do. The engine starts to stumble and the floorboard starts to get wet. Thank goodness my car has good door gaskets or i would have had bad seats too.
After the thought of my car being a flood victim. I floored it. Gurgling and all. Yes i know about hydrolock and all that other shit, So dont start preaching. The water was coming up steadily and it wasnt stopping
I have to give it to my M42. Thats a badass little mofo:bow:
i pulled out of the "hole" and over to the side. I just happened to have my camera with me. so i snapped a picture of the "shallow" section.

Why no more pictures? I looked over and there was a silver impala floating with only the interior lights on. It was in the deepest section and was steadily sinking. There was a woman at a near by gas station screaming her lungs out. "Theres an old man in that car!!!"
Sure enough, There an old man trying to dial in to onstar. I got up to about my pecs in the water and to the passenger side door. I knocked on the window and yelled for him to unlock it.
When i went to open the door it instantly took on about 600 gallons of water and stopped floating. The car settled and about got my foot.

I grabbed his hand and did the best i could to pull him out. He looked to be about 85. Could barely walk, You know the kind im talking about.
So i help him wade to the curb on the opposite side of the road.
Then i was like.......im wet, tired, pissed, And pretty sure theres water in my oil. Checked it and sure enough. Ill post pics tomm of the pinestraw and crap in my grill, and engine compartment.

    Yeah, your engine is toast.

But that shouldn't matter at this point. You saved someone's life, and that's what important. Karma is going to pay you back for such a good deed IN SPADES.

nice job on helping the old guy. about your engine, alittle water aint going to ruin it! change the fluids, and your good to go i'm sure.

Not to hijack your thread but this was Miami a few weeks ago!

There is another lane to my right in this pic!

This is a 2 lane road. The water was about a foot to a foot and a half.

But that happens sometimes in an afternoon here in Miami. We were about to trade in the cars for jet skis!
