    6.5x15 et34 = 7x15 et40 ?

    uhm,
used this image to visualise it ...

basically, increased inner lip by 0.5 inch = 12mm

that draged centerline 6mm torwards inner edge, hence increasing distance from original offset location.

outer lips are same size so hub/rim contact area did not move.

    is that so ?
ned to make sure as the RS's will go on Zinno today.
    thanks.

      You are thinking backwards, Frank.

The wheel would be ET46 now, no? The hub face is not moving relative to the car, but you just made the inside 1/2" wider.

That wheel shouldn't even bolt up to an E30 anymore.

yeap, deffently thinking backwards there :) hehehehe.

          et46 ? OUCH !!!

          original offset et34.0 + added 1/2" inner lip 12.7mm = 46.7

BUT, my (midnight oil) thinking is that the Imaginary Centerline recenters it self,
so it would be 6mm to each side, so it decreases 46.7 to 40.7 ?

yes, the actual rim it's 1/2" = 12.35mm closer to the struts, so i don't know anymore.
Ooh, ouch, my brain ... it hurts !!!, ttt...think...keekee...king, hoorts ma' brah-in !

Ran this rims as 6.5 et34 on 195/50/15's and there was no rubbing.
perhaps I'll add some spacers for now., just could not pass up the good inner lips
on the RF's since those rims are 114.3 and had no use for them.
the RS lips been to who knows where and back. ;)
