It's a true original Hartge BMW E21 from early 1982...
With full Hartge head conversion with exhaust. Lower motor also received slight improvements.
Hartge 4 calipers big brakes with dual brake lines.
              Hartge suspensions.
              Hartge 3 spoke steering wheel.
              Hartge gear knob
              Recaro seats.
              Additional Hartge tank.
              Hartge Mahle/BBS 15" alloys
              A/C
              LSD
              Electrically powered mirrors
              Power steering
              Hartge instrument cluster
              Hartge additional gauges (VDO)
              Hartge body stripes,
              Hartge front spoiler,
              Hartge (FOHA) trunk spoiler
              Hartge (BBS) rear mud flaps
              Hartge badges,
Hartge (newer E30 style) foot rest.
              Hartge power windows
              Headlight wash wipe system.

I am sure i forget mentionning a few ones...

Picture 1 was shot last summer at Le Mans circuit, here in France (2 different days running the car on the race track)... It was an amazing experience.

                        Nice Hartge H3 180hp!!!
                        I like the rare e21 headlight wipers. I had a few e21 back in the 90's. I was able to test drive a AC Schnitzer S3 e21 m20 turbo 220hp and owned a e21 Alpina B6 2.8 218hp.

I Think you emailed me on flicker.

                          Wow that's very impressive.
Yes i emailed you on Flicker, but don't really know if i can receive replies on flicker because i didn't apply for a Yahoo mailbox.

If you want you can reply on my regular email adress : hartgeh3@wanadoo.fr

That's true, the headlights wipers are rare on e21... I recently bought brand new motors for the headights and saved my good working old ones just in case something goes wrong.

It is great to read from you :)

The lower engine had slight improvements also made by Hartge in 1982 (as stated on the papers that i have). The engine block also has the Hartge stamp on it and has specific serial #.
I ran a BHP test on the vehicle last spring and it gave 185.5BHP despite visco fan, A/C, and power steering, sucking power off the engine... Not so bad for a 35 years old stroker

I emailed you on the question you asked.

I sent pics of your H3 to my friend Frank. He said no mono wiper. I said to Frank don't have headlight wipers.....
Ten mile away from me there is a real Hartge H3 white e21.
Hare is a link to his car.
