Perfect e30s with less 100k original miles are rare and will often carry a price tag that high. Once you get into a market that is that small, there isn't really a going price.

Is there anyone else in BC looking for a perfect e30? You could always offer low and ice the seller for a month. Eventually they'll realize that their car is only worth what they can get someone to pay for it.

I say offer something low and take your chances. You won't be heartbroken if he gives it to someone else for 12k.

However, my advice I just gave contradicts part of the e30 enthusiast in me. If that car is indeed the specimen that requires such a high selling price, I wouldn't recommend it as a primary driver. Those pristine cars should be preserved and treated as garage queens. I almost suggest that you have a good condition car with high miles that you can toss around and not feel bad about. Perfect low mile e30s are getting pretty rare.

I totally agree that it shouldn't be winter driven...even though our winter is pretty mild. I have my fingers crossed, there's a sale pending on one of my investment horses, if it goes through i can keep my current e30 for a daily driver to pile all the kms on.
