    Cell Phone Holder - Vent

Looking for the best option for a "holder/mount" for my cell phone that attaches securely onto one of the center vents. I used to use a Logitech Magnet type setup but new phone does not have a removable back and i'm not going to stick a magnet to the back of it.

The ones that go in vents can break them. I have this, works great and I can easily take it from car to car.

the vents WILL break if your not careful with the install...
the louvers will come out of the sockets and will require you to remove the vents to fix them... trust me.

Why not just use the Windshield ones?

Besides, you can't touch your cell phone while your driving any more... The Nanny state twins (Washington and Oregon) are going to eventually outlaw cell phones in cars anyways.

a bit OT, but i have a similar vent clip on all 3 of my cars.......but the issue i had was finding a case that didn't look fugly that had a magnetic back.

Couldn't find one, so i bought a $20 Shinola Leather case from ebay, and custom cut/inserted this magnetic disc i got from amazon to the back.......with the new case, the urge for the new iPhone went away!

Just sandwich the magnet between your phone and its case and don't use the adhesive. The magnets are strong enough to hold on all but the bumpiest roads.

This is the one I have:
