My mom has a C320 sport which is a step down from the C32. The car is a great cruiser, with about 220HP. Came with factory 17's and handles quite well. Too bad it's an automatic!

My dad was in the market a year ago and tested the C240, 325i, and A4 1.8T. The C240 was quiet, and bland to drive. Really felt like a german buick, and I wasn't too impressed with the interior. Plastics weren't anything to write home about, and its filled with all these bloated, rounded shapes. I can only imagine the C240 4matic being even heavier, slower, and blander. IMO, in the price range you're looking at, if you're stuck on a C-class, get a C230. Std sport pkg, and the engine probably has a little more personality (probably a little less refined tho).

Do you really need AWD? Just get an extra set of wheels + snow tires.
