    NEED BIG HELP!

Alright, i just got new wheels, and i had tires mounted, balanced and then put on the car.
Im driving home and eberything feels good until i hit the higher speeds, say 50-60 mph.
My car begeins to shake a bit and the steering wheels is jerking??
I just put on 17" wheels with 215-40 17 tires.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
    Is it my suspension?
    Do i need an alighnment?
My car was perfect before i had them put on?
    Thanks

Either not balanced correctly or you need alignment.

The wheels are properly not balanced properly. Are the wheels new? or are the wheels new to you as in "used"? It could also be tie rods or control arm bushings as well. But I would assume improper balance of the wheel and it is magnified with 17"

Were the balance weights the kind that sticks on the inside of the wheel? If so, one of those could have come off. It happened to me.

The same thing happened to me when I had my TSW's put on a few years back. They just weren't balanced properly. I took the car back, and they fixed it in like 10 minutes.

yeah, since you say your car was fine w/ the other wheels my money's on an improper balance or a thrown weight. if they were out of round, they woulda told you when they balanced em

Make sure the wheels are hubcentric as well.

yeah that's what I was going to say, the wheels need to be hubcentric or it won't matter if they are balanced.
