Reds are more of an every day use and yellows are designed for high load systems. For instance, you have a lot of amps etc pulling power. The electronics on my car are getting out of control :) Anyone hear what they are runnin? Guess I will go check it out.sigpicComment

are these really worth it over the much cheaper generic batteries?
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.Comment

ummm. im running a red-top. i have 2 amps with no capacitor, and it works out great. but as far as these prices go, i got my red-top at costco for $100. so i dont know what all this $122 on sale stuff is all about, sounds like a bunch of Hooplah.IG: @Baye30

I had crap results with yellow tops in both my old Corrado and my Landcruiser - both went t-u loooong before warrenty up. Got reds to replace and no probs - easily 1500 watts of Eclipse amps in the Corrado, and the red did fine. Now on reds only. I was told you really need to cycle the yellows otherwise you end up like me. YRMV. I won't bother with yellows again though.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.Comment

Yeah, I am a dealer, consignment agent. My old cost on reds was about $112, now about $132. Old yellow was $141, now $162. I was told it is a global price increase. That is why I will likely drop Optima in favor of Kinetik. Lighter and now, due to Optima price increase, nearly the same retail price.
