    Service Reset Tool

    anyone have any experiance with this one? im thinking of buying it back wanna see if someone here has used it and what you guys have to say about them.

    Since the same thing can be acomplished with a paperclip or a cheap-o momentary contact pushbutton and wire, I would say no thanks.

      Since our cars don't need a real reset tool I would say pass on that POS .


      I've been using a piece of wire for like 10 years !! :D

        yea thats what Ive been doing, but now that i have the M3, i dont wanna do any shaddy/cheap/half way stuff with it.

          It won't hurt it. I set up a nice looking push button one, cost me <$5. Works fine.

            I used a piece of speaker wire. 100% effective 0 cost.

              I'd like to know what you used. I'm not as good with electrical stuff; as mentioned above, I reset mine with speaker wire. Something with an inline fuse would be nice.

                Back when I was powered by Motronic I went to the Shack of Radios and got an inline fuse holder (it even included a fuse) and used that. Its a fuse holder with 3 inches of wire on each side. Perfect. Melted some solder into each end.

                If you really wanted to be baller you could setup a delay timer and use banana clips.

                Now i have a reset tool but mainly because its a code reader.
                Im now E30less.
