My E93 M3 is probably one of the last analog yet modern BMWs, still NA and that car is a blast to drive in a completely different way.

That being said I think Porsche has done a better job of modernizing but still feeling truer to being P Car. My next car will be either a Panamera Turbo or possibly the new Tesla fighting Tayman.

I also agree that Mercedes is WAY better at touting their past and keeping that feel and exclusivity alive. You see it in their advertising and at their dealers.
I've heard the F90 (have not driven one yet either) is in the too much power category. Haven driving a Dinan F10 M5 with 600+ HP I can appreciate that statement.. even my E60 at top of 2nd will throw me in jail.

I think once we hit 500HP the NEED for power is slowly disappearing, now its all about MPG while going 0 - 60 in 2.x seconds

It probably is, although with the new trick AWD system it is more controllable. The F12 I drove was a comp package, now not 600 Hp but closer. It was a beast.

My daily F10 M5 is tuned to 780hp/730tq and to be honest I'm used to it and it doesn't even feel fast to me anymore.

Meanwhile I absolutely decimate anything that tries to fool around, which leather covered everything and air conditioned seats lol.
