Spend 5-800 and rebuild it yourself.

I thought about that.... may try it i dunno. But i have never done something like that before.... dont want to fuck up ya know? Also... my engine has 272K.... wouldn't i have to rebuild the block? I'm also planing on starting a turbo project (no internal work).... would rebuilding the head on a 272K motor be a good idea? What do you think... thanks for the reply by the way.

I've done one before and it's not that bad. You do need certain tools like torque wrench, etc. The machine shop can do most of the work and all you have to do is put it together, time it and torque everything down, etc.

hmmm... i'm very very tempted... espicially since there is a big difference between 800 and 2000 bucks. And you were also talking about the bolck right? Hence the machine shop. Do you guys think that if i a followed a manual to the "t" i should be able to do it considering that i have never done anyhting like that before?

just follow the repair manual you have for the car bentley, haynes what ever you have, they usually get sufficent instructions on how do to so. as long as you have some common sense and the manual the first time its easy

why not check out metric mechanic and have them rebuild you a nice 3.0???

or just do it yourself and save the time and money
