just list every little thing that needs to be done and do one a week or one a day depending on the size of them and cost. i do this with everything from cars to the bullshit my wife makes me do around the house. otherwise youre always overwhelmed and that shit builds up. doing one constructive thing a day will keep your head above water and make you feel like less of a fucking loser

My list - I have been building it for a while. I am making it in Excel, with all the information I think I will need. Everything from new cost, used cost, and where I can buy it from with who has the best service price. It keeps me sain.

The crazy thing is my car is NOT that bad. I just want it to be perfect - overnight!

Mine hasn't been this way for two years :). Only thing it needs right now is a front/rear valance and sideskirts for the new euro bumps and a rebuilt driveshaft. It gets that way when you dump so much time and money into it while you can (high school).

Mostly, I regret all the money i've wasted on parts/labor that it didn't need. Probably over $500 on parts, and easily as much on labor. It's such a long, sad story.

When I think about all the things it needs now, it just makes me feel worse.

These types of lists are exactly why I paid a bit more but got a mint low milage example. Mines pretty short, but theres still items that I could do to make it absolutely perfect. Its nice though having a list thats like 3 items long, compared to the dozen or so things I couldve fixed on each of my two previous examples.
