    spring pads??

Is it safe to remove the spring pads when putting new lowering spring/shocks on? I was told it lowers the car a little more, any negative effects?
    do it or not?

I don't have any lower spring pads on the rear of my car - lowered it an additional 1/4-1/2 inch. Haven't noticed any issues, been set up that way for 3 months

get rid of all of them. ive run none for years with no ill effects.not even any noise. the only thing youll notice is bit of noise when they seat after jacking the car up and letting it down

This really is the only issue, other then possible noise from metal-to-metal contact. If the underside of your car is covered in rust anyway, spring pads aren't going to save your springs from rusting.

As you can see, many guys do it, so it should be fine.

Yep, I have brand new 10mm pads in the rear as well as two 5 mm. So, 20mm total. lol Looks pretty good too. perfect amount of rake.

I even put a slit in one of my 10mm pads, and slid it on to the top. So, if I wanted to, I could drop my car if I got it up and yanked em out. hehe Cheap coilovers??? :D
