    should I buy an eta...?

I've got my eye out on a nice eta. I just can't decide if I would ever be happy with it. Its an 86 325e, royal blue. Alpina Kopis, Eibachs, Bilsteins, tucked and black painted bumpers, 200k on chassis, would include a 93k eta engine as well. He wants $2,800. Its a bit much, but the interior is in good shape and as far as I know the paint is great. Royal blue rocks... I am just considering getting it and either building a stroker out of the spare engine, or doing an M50 swap. What do you guys think?

I'd say go for it. I enjoyed the torque of my 528e for around town driving the Eta is a nice Engine. Plus it's already got some good mods done to it. I'd awsome it's a 5 speed?

I think that sounds like a great idea to buy it and build a stroker with the spare.

You should for sure get it, royal blue is sweet, too.

Do you have an M50 available? Cause it seems like the stroker would be a better choice considering the car comes with an extra engine, and you could get started with the project sooner.

That sounds like a great idea T.J. If I had an extra $2800.00 laying around I wiuld make an investment like that.

TJ there are a few tricks you can do on the eta block for easy BIG gains. I'm working on something right now. If you're interested, PM me.

i reckon it sounds like a good platform for a bit of a project...stroker or m50 and euro bumps would be choice. go for it

Do you enjoy driving the car? Can you live with the lower horsepower and redline until you can afford a stroker/M50 swap? Which will make YOU more happy: an 'i motor + a slushbox or an ETA motor and a manual?

I never suggest buying an eta. But hey, do your own thing.
