PACNW crew - help! re: mechanic to do subframe mounts

Not sure where to post this, putting into General Discussion for max exposure. I'm doing all the work on my little track project myself but the subframe mounts is not something I'd like to do myself as I don't have access to a torch or a garage with one, which will most likely be required by the sound of mine.

I'm in Vancouver but I'd be willing to drive to the Seattle area for the right guy. I need a good mechanic that won't quote me bullshit BMW labor rates to do this job, of 4-6 hours at 80 bucks an hour. A mechanic that has the right tools and knows what he's doing should get this done in a couple of hours. I'll be putting in IE urethane race while I'm at it - do it once, do it right.

Thanks a million in advance! If you'd like to email me instead I'm at dmitry275 at hotmail.com

A mechanic replacing subframe bushings in a couple of hours? You're joking, right? Maybe if you have 4 guys working on it it's possible in that amount of time.
You don't need a torch to get them out if you have a press. Plus you'll want to replace your trailing arm bushings at the same time too.

I had mine out and the new ones (urethane) in in 2.5 hours. I don't remember the reinstall time. I think a good mechanic could do it in 3-4 hours.

Actually, my A mechanic back in Toronto did my E34 subframe mounts, clutch and rear sway bar in under 3 hours. (dropped the car off after work around 5, got a call to pick it up around 8)

Like I said, A mechanic that knows what he's doing.

I don't know what's involved in doing the trailing arm bushings but one shop around here I asked says 9.2 hours... whatever. My A mechanic can do an E30 dohc swap in that time (actually friends who had it done say he can have an S50 in and test started in a few hours).
