May I vent?

I live in a small town, and have pretty much every nook and cranny (and speedbumps and dips) memorized, along with the next 2 towns in either direction :P

About your exhaust: I once got pulled over (120 in a 35, flamers can suck my balls) and the cops said even though they didn't have it on radar, they could hear my exhaust from the bottom of the hill, about 1/5 mile away. I told them its a stock exhaust, asked how they would give me a speeding ticket with no radar, and how long it would take because I was late for summerschool. cops ftl

And last but not least, I haven't taken any early morning cruises for a while (mainly because after 9pm everything is dead any way) but I get all blind and cruise my e30 at least once a day :P It's the shit

When the car is sorted, I agree. However, the converse to your expression of love is the aggravation that is inherent with owning and driving a 16yr old car (in my case at least, some of your's are older ;) ) which of course stems from all of the little and big things that are always needing attention. For instance, mine needs new upper strut mounts right now so I get these terrible front end noises at times, there is a yet-to-be-found vacuum leak related to installing the new motor mounts a couple months ago, the odd wipers-with-a-mind-of-their-own mentality when the weather spits out some light rain, and the exhaust is still not hanging right and does some banging on the rear valence over rough roads.

But yes, when everything is sorted, even though I know it will be short-lived, I do enjoy the car immensely.

I'm with RC. My car needs a new steering rack and probably new control arms--it's got an annoying fibration 50-70 mph. Plus the windnoise from my top is killing me.

Yet I still enjoy taking the on ramp like a raped ape and flooring the throttle, listening to the M20 rev to redline. It's a fun car even when things aren't working right.

Just reading you story Wycoco makes me so happy that I'm getting my car back today. I cant wait to take my 1st drive with the new bilstine sports/vogtland springs (which give an even better drop than I hoped for:D ) and new BAV headers/straight pipe exhaust...I'm gonna have to bring some napkins on the drive:rofl:

. Here in Downtown Long Beach, we have the Long Beach Grand Prix where they do nascar and stuff. So when its not a nascar event, the roads are open for regular use.
