yea im on voglandt springs awell i think im a wee bit lower than you win the front but as you said they still need time to settle.. i think the ride height is perfect for daily driving and the rate is forgiving on bumpy roads

yah vogtland springs offer a nice ride height. i have been running them on 2 of my cars, and i like them alright. they are a lil on the soft side for me NOW, but its only b.c i got used to the ride and want it stiffer now.

I disagree. Ive got OE springs with HD's and its probably 1" lower than stock. Definately shouldnt be used with sport shocks though, the HD's work admirably with em.

actually, TJ, if the struts are much shorter you will have to compress the springs to put them in (like with my konis) which does affect the ride height. if you can just drop the springs in without compressing them, then no..

No.

The shock compresses until the spring supports the car. That is why we buy lowering springs and not lowering shocks. The reason Bilstein Sports are shorter is so that they don't have to undergo as much of the compression until the spring supports the car when the springs are shorter than OEM. It reduces stress on the shock.

When I ordered the springs I stayed with H&R. Went to their website and cross referenced #s. When I ordered I had a choice between the set that drops about an inch or the set thats drops about an 1.3 inch. # 50406

I choose the 1.3 drop. Then I ordered the Bilsteins, not the HDs but the Sports which, from what I have learned are a better height match for the springs.

So the long and short of it is. I THINK I GOT IT RIGHT!!!!

I will def keep the receipts!

I'm running AP springs, I'm dropped somewhere between 2.5-3" in the front and about 2" in the rear.

dude8383, Bilsteins don't lower your car anymore (unless you are running blown shocks), the springs determine the drop.

Wrong. They drop about an inch...thats a drop.

FL318is you'll get more of a drop since you'll be running the bilstein sport shocks.

I dont have anything to record with or I would deff. post a sound clip. Maybe I can on my phone.

Its a y pipe from the headers to a straight 2.5 inch pipe to the muffler.

It sounds very good, I love the rumbling at idle.
