I dont think her passing the bus was such a big deal, it wasn't stopped so no little kids were in danger, I drive by busses all the time that have the yellows on, I dont give a damn until the reds come up, if the reds are flashing then my ass is stopped

How do you know they didnt go red as she was next to it and couldn't see them, maybe the bus really was stopped?

I always look for the stop sign and the door open. If the bus is stopped, you should be too; that is, unless the road has a median... etc. There was a whole section in drivers' ed, that, if you paid attention, told you under which circumstances you did and did not need to stop when a school bus is letting kids off.
