rotary in an e30. Sounds interesting, why though? IMO thats alot of work/money to have a less reliable motor. There are a lot of ways to get 260+ hp in an e30, i think swapping a turbo 13b is least logical. More props to you if you get it done- it would be unique.

Any of the diffs can handle 260hp. It just depends on what tranny you are planning on using to determine the propper gear ratio.

Best is the 4.10 second to the 3.73 for high output. If it is lower than that you will have issues.

My 3.73 had no trouble holding roughly that amount of HP.

Would a 4.10 have been better since it would get to the point where the turbo kicks in faster?

truee i have a shop over here in NYC that is specialized in Rotary. the swap and labor is goin to be around $5000-$6000 since the motors+ tranny are at a decent price which is $1700-$2500 and it would only take up have of the engine bay VERus the M50,M30 motors... and thank you for answering my Diff question....

Usually people go with higher gearing actually. I was pretty happy with the stock diff though.

I really think the gearing you go with would depend on the turbo. With one like Matt's, you would want something like a 3.73 or 4.10 since it kicks in later, but with a smaller turbo that kicks in earlier you would want something with higher gearing. Does this sound right?

im still learning about gear Ratios if i do, do the swap i will do it between spring and summer. and it will be run stock on a stock turbo until i want more power thats why i stated 260 + hp

n also stock rotary motors like the one tha im thinking has more potential than you think. a friend of my had a non turbo 13b in his car and stated from factory i think 200hp and it could take out 350z and those are 280hp (just an example) on drag or highway..and those are highway cars if you ever encountered one.
