    anyone have succes doing this?

ive been told by a few people to reset the ecu by removing the fuse for it and reinstalling it or removing the chip and reinstalling it? sounds weird but does sound almost like it would work any ideas? i keep putting new stuff in my car and its been running alittle weird. i have cold air, m30 afm, 19# injectors, headers ,streightpipes and a jc chip (which made it run weird from the begining)ive been messing with the afm to make it run smoother but im not sure if it is actualy making run rich or not.anouther question too, if you turn the adjustment in the afm to make the spring tighter will it richen the motor or lean it out or does it do anything at all? i know its alot im kinda a nervous wreck sometimes. thanks guys

I would check the spark plugs for rich looking fuel burn on them. I guess you could reset the ecu but im not sure how well or if it would do anything for you, it doesnt log data so everytime it starts its running on what it sees at that time, so im not sure what good it will do to "reset" it, but if its a fuse go ahead and do it. Are you sure you got the correct jc chip for your car? they should have an almost identical fuel map at idle as the original car , wot is where it should change. And im not sure about afm's but on carb cars when you screwed things IN it would cause less fuel to circulate thus causing lean out, OUT would allow more fuel through thus causing richening, but again thats on a carb not an AFM. But between the m30 afm, 19# injectors and a chip i would imagine it would be getting alot more fuel, causing it to run "weird". what kind of "weird" are you talking about?

jc chip could be your issue.

theres been a few things that changed after i put the new o2 sensor in and the header streight pipe combo in. it smells like an old truck, smells rich. temp is not really cool like it used to be it runs on the middle and someimtes past it untill i start to move(obviously wind cooling when i move). it usualy stays alittle before the mid line and gets alittle cooler but thats before i installed the headers and straight pipes. just wondering if that norm with all that stuff in there. im just worried im running to rich or hot. it likes to stumble on it self once ina while as well.

when the car starts up there is no problem but when at idle when you can see the exhaust fumes kinda poofing like a stumble every few sec or so..i think im going to go back to my original chip but im affraid of messing all the mods up by doing that.

to reset your ECU just disconnect the ground terminal on your battery for a couple minutes
