That is a fucking awesome color but I wouldn't want to be stealing that guy's ideas. I really want a color that's original and nobody's done on an E30.

Please suggest colors along the lines of the original post though. No reds, oranges, or yellows guys.

i love a dark, blood-red color on a car..

I would've switched from brillantrot to imola (or an even darker red variant) on my car but didn't have the stomach/money/time to have it done right.

lifting the hood or boot and seeing a different color would really turn me off

to do a proper color change [imo] involves a balls-out tare down to a stripped shell

and if I were to go about doing that – then I’d consider a more ‘exciting/different’ color then a gray/silver variant.

i once test drove a 944 with a gorgeous dark/forest green color w/ metalflake..

If I was set on a metallic color, it would be something of a strong copper hue.
