Great, another clean E30 presents itself. Should I buy a 3rd E30?

the 91 318is are considered the poor mans m3. It is the only year for a 318is and are pretty rare. The motor is more advanced than the m20 but its nothing special and nothing to powerful, a very nice motor non the less. If its a good deal its hard to pass but it doesnt seem like anything you need to have. I say use the money to make your 90 a badass ca
So yeah, I say get it and sell the automagic.Back to my roots

A car that feels better to drive in the "twities" is a fast car, not a slow pile.Comment

Maluco I can't believe you are still crying about your two auto cars .
I gave you a decnt quote for each like 6 months ago , nobody to blame for having a crappy automatic but yourself homeboy . :D
Seriously though , I have done several within the last few months alone and actually am currently performing a swap for a board member . (sadly its taking waay more time that it should have though, sorry Brad)
Give me a call and I'll tell you the figures and what other options you have while doing the swap , also remember me for your paint work too . ;)
Ok with that aside I would say that a 318is is greatly lacking when compared to a 325is side by side .
The power/torque deficit is just something that can't be overcome or overlooked after driving an M20 car .
I spent some wheel time in a decently modded little 318is this summer and even though I kinda fell in love with it it was also a dissapointment in the grunt department and every time I hoped in my 325is I quickly forgot about the little 318 .
Hey did that 318 have a lenghty stay at a shop off of Cockrell Hill & Jefferson in S. Dallas ?
It looks awfully familiar .Comment

yeah... think of all the crap the 318is probably needs (shocks, control arms, tie rods, tune up crap etc...)
just dump the spare money in the 325is, it's way hotter, and trust me, you will love it's new found power after the swap.. i did!!
