Only down side to a really tuned s14 is it become a gutless wonder at low revs. A monster at peek rpms.

His 2.5L has mild cams, 284/276, with AlphaN now, it will have plenty of torque down low. Not until you get 300+ cams will it start to suffer significantly down low.

from what I understand the "valve" sounds on the intake is pure sex. 8 intake valves all going "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhh, WHOOOOOOOOOoooossss", close, the all over again...At 7k - it must be nice.
