Good luck the last body that I saw (just body) went for 125 euro which converts to about $153.36. I would like to get one for just show as I have a beat road body.

Ebay and type in tamiya m3, should find all of them for you.

Ya the e30 m3 body is very hard to find.
Did you just get the standard Nitro rs4? or a nitro racer or what? I had a Nitro rs4 that had been conveted to racer specs. It was a great little Nitro car.

I've got a Nitro RS4 Racer 2 w/all the goodies, 2 speed tranny, CF parts everywhere, upgraded Nitro Star .15 engine and plenty of other stuff. May end up selling it, if anyone's interested.

Tamiya does not and has not in quite some time. There are two NIB (new in box) kits on ebay presently for big bucks.

The tamiya body is most likely 190mm as it came on electic kits so it will be a little narrow for the 200mm Nitro rs4 but I believe they can be adjusted for the smaller width by adjusting the arm mounting points. It's been a while since I last built an HPI kit.
wait I just found my manual, you can adjust it to 190mm but you have to buy new Universals and move the front Hub assembleis in a Hole, and shorten the tie rods.

stock width on a nitrors4 is 194 mm, It should be fine. Just shave the hexes on the ends of the axle.

You can buy newer BMW bodies for around $20. If you HAVE to have an e30 body, you are stuck fighting with the Tamiya collectors for one as they are NLA.

Tamiya collectors pay WAY to much for stuff.
How do I know? Because I am one....LOL.

My ebay name is Tamiya959. :D

NLA just means no longer available. Which referes to the manufacturer. In other words, you can't go order a new one. But you could find one somewhere like ebay.

I know some of you people on this board have a Tamiya 1/10 e30 M3 shell.

If you are smart, you know how they are made... vacuum table.

If you were really smart, you would fill the inside of the shell with a suitable perm mold, and make many many vacuum tabled replicas of it. Given the harsh undercuts the model has tho, I do not see it possible to not destroy the original in the process, but then again.... who cares when you have a endless supply of bodies?

Actually some of the Tamiya bodies from this era are blow molded. That was how they got them so detailed. This might be one of them.
