    4 to 5 lug spacers

Has any one used these spacers? They might just be another one of those horrable ebay parts.

They look nice but by using an adapter instead of swapping to a real 5-lug setup you are missing out on the real benefits the real swap offers like the beefier wheel bearing and bigger brake rotor setup.

      Wheels: $500ish, minimum, or used.
      Tires: $600ish,
      Adapters: $200ish

So we are already talking about more than $1G to get wheels and tires
Add a 5 lug swap and we are talking another G to get it done cheap, right? Maybe $750? How much more for BBK? Rotors, calipers, saddles, MC, maybe lines? Shit, easy to drop $3G on a 5 lug swap.

I know a real hustla could do it cheaper, but that just isn't an option for lots of guys.

Step at a time just might be an easier nut to crack.

Luke , I think what he meant was that if you do a "proper" 5-lug swap like using e30 M3 parts or even E36 parts you will aslo get the added benefit of the already bigger brakes that those set-ups offer .

All at no additional cost .

That spacer set sure is priced pretty reasonably , I thought those kits were several hundred Dollars .

But that conversio is not even using the BMW 5 lug pater , its using the more common 5x4.5" pattern .
You could always score any rear wheel drive Ford wheels or even a most of the Asian rear wheel drive cars are the same pattern .

My point was that it would be easier to do it in stages. Buy wheels and tires now with spacers, add 5 lug and BBK later.

Although, if those are not BMW pattern, fuggit.

My goal would be the bigger brakes/bearings/etc AND the wheel selection.

I'm running adapters and drive the balls off of it with no issues, those are cheap as hell, i paid $300 shipped, but mine were custom made exactly like i wanted.
