It is praacticly impossible to bend a wheel that bad in shipping. I think the wheel you sent was fine and he prob hit a pot hole with it or something. If you sent a strait wheel, and it is now bent so bad that it can't be used, he fucked it up and is trying to fuck you over. End of story. How much did you sell it for?, if you don't mind.

Claim it as shipping damage. You had it insured right? If you sent a straight wheel, and he recieved a bent wheel, the first people to go to are those who did the transportation. If you went through UPS, that's $100 automatically, which should more then cover a weave.

So do I just tell him. Sorry I dont' think this is the rim that I sent you I won't be able to help you. He said he is postitive that it is the rim I sent him because the other three had tires on them but what the hell does that tell me.

It could if he really screwed up the wheel to bend the center. It must be his center cap that is not lining up right. I still think that what is going on here is what i said earlier.

Okay, he got back to me. The center doesn't fit well, which mine fit perfect. He said that it might be the center though. Can center become bad and be not flush with the rim?

The wheel would have to be completely destroyed for a centercap to not fit (if that's what you're getting at- it's not exactly crystal clear).

Do what you feel is right in this case- but next time make a little mark on the wheel somewhere with a sharpie marker- nothing big or noticeable- but something you can recognize so you know if it's the same wheel or not.

I would probably ask the buyer to return it to me at his expense, then I'd inspect the wheel and see if it's the same one I sent him. If not I'd just let him know he "must have made a mistake" and sent the wrong wheel. If it was, or you can't tell- I'd offer him a replacement (if you have one) or a refund. Simple as that.

This was exactly what I thought when I saw the messed up center cap. I am still waiting on the response about if the center cap is off because of the warp.

One more thing. In the picture it looks like his center cap is off. Before I sent I had a center cap and it fit perfect...another red flag?

    started a topic Ebay Trouble??

    Ebay Trouble??

Hey guys I am just posting to get some opinions about my situation I am having with someone I sold a wheel too.

Okay I sold a basketweave to some one on ebay. I had it turned when getting a tire taken off. That shop said it was straight, I had another look with the same reaction. I also, although not very accurate, measured with a tape measure in many spots on the front and rear lips. I am about 99% sure it is straight.

The buyer got it, and liked the quality of it. Its been about a week and a half, contacted me saying he just got a tire on it and the people that mounting it said it was warped. He says that it is warped a lot and he can feel a vibration in the car.

So, he sent me pics. I looked at it, very very noticeable. I am very sure that this is not the wheel from A) the bend in 2 spots (there was only 1 last week) B) there is a scratch on the wheel that I am 99% sure was not on it when I shipped it.

I included in my ad that there was no returns but I want to keep my customers happy. I just don't want to be taken by someone that is trying to make money off me.

    What do you think?

    Thanks
    DJ
