i could understand if a person is having issues removing the rear stock springs, but with any sort of lowering springs, especially ground control, they slide out with ease.
this is along the same complexity as changing oil.

to clarify... this is not directed at rob.. if he didnt want to try, didnt want to be bothered, whatever... i just disagree w/ this being "more involved" then was previously said in this thread.
I didn't have the time to have my car jacked up, on stands, wheels off, stock spring out and then be met with difficulty reinstallign the new ones. I had either work, school, or a girl to tend to soon enough. It's not like I could deal with shoving them in for a long time, or hop on here and waited for a reply in the meantime. I never rarely have a free weeknight, and if so it is dark outside, and I work all weekend.
And anyway, my suspension has never really been inspected. The guy doing the work is the pimp daddy of E30 suspension, so if anything is wrong, he will see it. I also need him to check out the rear camber, if it is bad when the new springs are put in. My car is going to the track in 2 weeks and I don't want any part about to break or badly worn.

To clarify, I fully support people doign their own stuff. But sometimes I don't have the time to fucked around. I have no free time between now and the DE. I also want to have the suspension inspected to make sure everything is cool. No one better than a guy whose been working on BMW suspensions for a long, long time. I'm just happy to finally getting the new rear springs, and the car aligned. There IS a difference between just getting it done and getting it done right.
Whatever, I got to get around to packing......

Even if you did need a spring compressor, it's not like you don't have access to one unless you are saying that there are no automotive shops near by. You can rent them. Its $30, You take the compressors and when you bring them back you get ALL your money back. Auto Zone rents them for like $20.
