I run my eta everyday with H&R race springs and I never have scraped it once. you can't go low and soft. The key is to watch for obsticals and have a firm suspension, so you don't scrape.

I wish I'd taken pics of the oil pan on my wife's 89 325i when I bought it, the guy nailed a rock the day before I bought it, knocked off $400 for me. :D

How do you like those springs? I want a stiffer set up but still a DD, please PM me your thoughts? Right now I'm thinking H&r Race or IE 3's?

Is the skid plate the same for an M20 as it is for an s52? May swap someday? Who makes them, is it just 666?

I was at the mercy of black ice. I saw the curb coming and held on!

Trent, I think you just increased your chances of hitting somthing by dropping the low point even lower. But who knows, it could serve its purpose.

Personally I would like to get that ski rack skid plate.(i think it's oem)

Yeah, me too - in fact it was your pics that inspired mine, but it sounds like that from the feedback I got here that our designs probably aren't overly effective. I've got a new design worked up on paper, I'll post it up once it's made. In the meantime here's what mine looks like - obviously based on your design. So 'thanks' - I forgot who had put the idea in my head.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

no shit. ive had cup kit, HR sport, IE III's and have NEVER hit anything with my pan. and thats living in CA, KS, NJ, and everywhere inbetween. Its easy to see if something is gonna hit. If i get in a spot where i need to slow down/move, i do- use the hazards if need be.
