At least they are now priced where they should be. At least some of them.

Tirerack considers that Potenza a "max performance summer tire", and the KDW's a "ultra high perfomance summer tire". Supposidly better. My guess would be increased treadware, softer sidewalls, and slightly less overall traction from the KDW's. but nothing too noticeable in any of those areas.

I've been through about 7-8 sets of tires on my current suspension setup, and from all the ultra high performance and above tires, they are all about the same. The only one that was noticeably better is the Azenis RT-615, and that tire is just badass.

For the price the Potenza should be a given.

S03s are the SHIT. I had 205/50/15s (on some beautiful Panasports :( ) on my 3.0 Alfa and they kicked ass!! Stickiest damn road tire I have ever experienced, and I worked at Discount for over three years. Excellent in the rain too... They are on closeout so if you want some, right now is the time to get em!

so the decreased tread foot print of the s03's is made up by the compound? I guess I'll go ahead and pick up 4 205/50/16's

Nope, thats why Im going 205-50-16. I wish I could get some 245's tho, I wouldnt mind the extra meat. Im currently sitting on 245' es100's and I still have some traction issues in the lower gears. Im hoping the better rubber of the so3's will make up for the loss in width.
