This is what my bimmer lost out to...

this is what my bimmer lost out to. I didn't know it was possible on LHD cars, I heard the tt interfered w/the steering. but I thoroughly checked this car at the drift riot (one e30, 2 e36's drifitng, plus a shitload of e30, e36, and e36 m3's on the track. beaverun is a good time)

i'll buy an audi 90 or a4 for a winter car, and hopefully I can get a bike over summer too, as my ninja is sold.

I see myself getting an e30 m3 at some point in the future too, it'll be so much better when I can put antique insurance on it (my 240z is only $80 a year!)

Looks like an old-school 240-Z. I LOVE those cars.

It's a twin turbo 6 cylinder car, with twice as many valves as an E30 325. I'm not surprised you lost, and it's engine looks the business.

24 valves...2 turbos...no waiting. I'm not surprised your car got spanked.

LOL sorry I worded it strange

i had posted my car for sale right before I posted this. I'm selling my car in order to do this swap into my z.

I saw this in the drift event I went to last weekend. I wasn't aware the rb26dett (r34 skyline motor) could fit in the left hand drive Z cars, i had only seen the swap on RHD cars.

so now that I know it doesn't interfere with the steering, I'm doing it. I have about 6k from bike money, plus whatever I can get from when I sell my BMW

so anyway, it's a twin sequential turbo dual overhead cam 2.6 inline 6. The guy in the pic has a 260z, which is heavier than mine by a couple hundred pounds. his rb26dett is bone stock, just upped the boost to 14 lbs and compensated with fuel

he's over 400hp, he's got 385 AT THE REAR WHEELS!

high tens bone stock. he was hitting 11.1@120 before some tuning. mmmmmmmm

getting g force racing to build a chrome moly 10 pt cage for it too, so that's gonna set me back a bit. I already have all the parts for the rear disc upgrade, and I am putting 4 pot calipers and 300zx rotors up front.

the RB26 has been used in the GT-R for over a decade- not just the R34 cars. in addition to above-mentioned it also has individual throttle bodies. (oh, and they're not sequential.)

i personally think you'd be just as happy with one from an R32 or R33, but *shrug*

if Night Szevyn is still in the nissan crowd, do not get your motor from him.
