Yes way!!! You lose your friction, you lose your acceleration. Let me explain
Force, F=ma in the forward direction
Friction, Fr=uN opposing the force
You have your W=mg acting down on your car and to oppose that force, you have your N normal force, N.
When you set up your free body diagram, you find that ma=uN but since your N=mg, you have your ma=umg. the 'm's cancel out and you have your a=ug. In other words, your acceleration is dependent on your friction coefficient, u.
If you have no friction, you have no acceleration. boo ya. Same reason why you put sandbags in your car in the snow, it won't give you better traction. The only things taht will give you better traction is the gravity constant and your friction coefficient (or how good your tires are in lay-mens terms)Recent Rebranding!!

Last I heard he was putting down around 450hp to the rears.
He's using a Getrag 260, with a 3.91 LSD (soon to be swapped for a 3.64 LSD)
1/4mile = 11.8sec , trap speed can't remember exact no, but was around 230km/h
As u can see with that trap speed, he's struggling with traction.
BTW, this isn't my car it's my friends.
