I am more of a performance modder. I like my car to look good, that is why I did a plastic bumper swap, but that is really the only exterior mods that I will do, including the new wheels. I have an 87 eta, and I love the motor. It has a Turner chip and that has made a nice improvement to the car's power and driveability.
I have redone the whole suspension minus the sways to give the car a good look and to also be able to corner well. I am running eibach springs and bilstein touring shocks and love the feel. I am in the middle of a transformation on car and I have gotten some urethane bushings for the car that I have not tried yet.
I also have a 3.73 LSD going in the car to make it faster. I like the stock look as well. I like the more subtle mods that make the car unique, and different from everyone elses, but not so much that it stands out too much.Originally posted by cabriodster87"Honey? What color is this wire? I pretty much do performance mods.. my car is almost entirely stock on the outside, and I like it that way. it looks good enough that all I really need to do is keep it clean, and people will stare. and being a 4-door helps a lot with the sleeper look.
I do try to keep it OEM as possible. I also try to keep it streetable.. no point in a car that punishes me every time I drive it, although its close to there already - anything longer than a 1-2 hour freeway drive is too much. I'm not sure how much longer I will continue to DD it, I really enjoy driving it but it's kinda nice to drive a slow car and not care about where I park it sometimes.

I'm a ricer.
I mod stuff on impulse, or under the pretense that its cool.
Yeah, my suspension handles like a dream and rips ass on the autox course, but I mainly like the look of a hammered e30.
Yeah, my wheels are wider than 90% of other e30 owners, but I don't care about the handling, they just look sick and fit well.
Yeah, all my old interior wasn't very nice, but the only reason I completely redid it was because I wanted it all black.
I'm a ricer. I mod things because I like it and enjoy it, even if it serves no purpose to most of you ;)

I like OE Plus though, its the only way to go! You won't catch too much stuff in my car that didn't come out of some BMW. I think the rollbar and the guage pod are the only non-bmw things I have in my car.
Also long as I can feel the bump from me running over a worm, and being able to take a corner unpracticaly and excessively fast I'm happy lol. I don't want monster HP (yes I don't) I'm gonna call it quits at around 400 crank.Rollin' with a Geistkuchen

i'm just looking for a nice set of wheels and possibly a m-tech 2 wing and/or front splitter.

I guess I would classify myself as an OE+ and barely streetable modder. I have a stiff ass suspension with all but 3 bushing being made off poly (diff, front sway, and rear sway). It handles like a dream. I wouldn't want it any other way. The motor I am building to put into it is going to be barely streetable. 11.5:1 CR 2.9L M50 with a pinch of nitrous. This summer when the motor comes out and the MT2 front and rear goes on, it will be getting resprayed with Henna, and I will then be looking for a DD.
But until then, I will agresively try to destroy the M20 and the autotragic that it pulls behind it.My 2.9L Build!

Well, I own one of the rarest E30's produced, so my initial thoughts are always "Will this hurt my concours title chances in 20 years?"
My car is basically a factory LTW - with the alloy parts it came with, the big alpina motor, E30 M3 suspension and the lack of options.
I have absolutely no "go faster" mods at the moment, and all my mods thus far have been to upgrade from stock to a more performance based level, rather than just replacing with OEM parts.
I have erethane suspension bushings all round, urethane shift bushings, the IE 6 puck sprung clutch, an 11lb fly wheel, the IE shifter and sticky Dunlop rubber.
I definitely like the sound of OE+
My future mods are either based on lightening the car, removing unneeded stuff (316 centre console mod etc etc)
Ideally, I like replacing with OE parts - sport evo interior, M3 rear window frame and bootlid, E36 M3 brakes, 17" LTW wheels, DTM mirrors etc etc the list goes on.
When my car is finished, I want it to be modded intensively, but in such a way so that if someone bought it, they could remove the S50B32 (planned!)/ all the mods that i've done, and return my car to how it came out of the factory - a 325iS Evo 1 - I don't see myself as the owner of my car, more of a steward and care giver for the next one.
