    Who had the RaceOnUSA Kit?

OK, so I searched and could not find the thread where someone had the RaceOn kit.

I wanna see more shots, especially the back.

I also would like to know how well it fit before the body shop did its magic.

They still want me to become a dealer, and they will "drop ship" for an additional $25, so stuff would not have to be shipped to me then to whoever buys it.

You guys might want to check this out...I think it looks pretty hot, especially for us metal bumper guys.

Those prices are not bad at all. Is it made of FG or is it urethane like the original? That would be my only question about it, that and if they sell the pieces individually, like front and rear bumpers.

Nevermind, just looked some more on their site and they don't sell the individual parts. The parts are made of HiFlex (aka FG with some additives).
Hell, when the time comes I may be ordering the rest of my MT2 from them. Anyone have any feedback on this company?

There is hardly a market for this type of stuff. I know Abrahams sells a replica kit as well and I don't think they've sold more than one or two kits in the last year+.

Yeah, I know. Someone on here or "that other E30 site" has/had one installed. I want more details!

If I do sign up as a dealer, I would be passing on the majority of the "wholesale discount", thus, we should be able to get them for about 3/4 of the sites' posted price.

Unless they are a super clean install, I do not care what they charge, I won't do it. They are obviously different from Abrahams Motorsports, since they fit early bumper cars specifically.

I think a TecII kit shipped to your door for around $600 would do just fine.

i started a thread asking if anyone had the kit and didnt get any response. someone did post saying they didnt think it fit to well. im still interested, but they list that you have to buy it all at once.....guess that doesnt matter to much. im curious as to how fitment is also, maybe ill have to be the guinea pig? so the final cost is $600?

Looks good, personally I'd do euro bumpers for half that price and call it a day. I don't think my car needs or would look good with sideskirts. Not a bodykit guy though. Someone has to be the guineapig, if I see it in person and like the fit and finish I might be persuaded. Sorry, I'm rambling. In response to the original question, the thread that brought it up by smonk is here:

I'd pm that elguapo fella to see if he ended up putting one on.

Luke it seems like they offer 4 different variations of the kit .
They all have different part numbers at least , so they aren't specifically oriented towards the metal bumpered cars .

Sounds like the material is the "new" flexible fiberglass that Felip has been using for his products .
That stuff is miles ahead of the old school FG products back in the day .

I might check into becoming a "dealer" for their crap later in the week .

Yeah, but you can do real MtecII on plastic bumpered cars...so (IMHO) why do knock off crap? Hard to get and expensive, but us metal bumpered guys are screwed harder than that. The point was that they make one targeted to us early body guys.

Yeah, I sure hope so. I like the look of the kits on their pages (except for the shitty wheels) Regular fiberglass is a no-go on my cars. I would have a hard time trusting that stuff.

                          I dunno who Felip is.

Yeah...shitty fit makes any kit a no-go. They assure me that they fit like OE. I don't believe shit until I have done it, especially when a salesman says it.

They seemed pretty relaxed about it. They wanted to make sure I have an actual retail storefront ( I do) a business license (I do) and business liability insurance (I do).

I don't have concrete pricing yet. Since Oregon has no sales tax, I can sell them with no tax to any other state, basically charging about a 5% markup to handle paperwork. I am estimating a price based on conversations with a sales manager there. In other words, guessing.

I dunno, guys. IE said they were willing to sign me as a dealer, then said I would get a 10% discount...if I stock their stuff. Fuck that. If I am going to stock a product, tie up my dollars, I need to see something useful out of it...either buying power on other pieces or profitibility. These guys will let me sell you their stuff without any hassles...ship directly to you, you pay me, I pay them...you get a huge discount (in their words) so our cars are cooler, cheap. Otherwise, why bother? I still have to pay taxes on the "income", I still have to pay a percentage of the total on Visa processing charges (1.75%, roughly) but it makes my overall business volume go up, so I have a better chance of a business loan in 2009.

                          Enough out of me.

Who has the damn kit! Where are the pics!

I wonder the same question, who has this kit?

Luke, if you go through with becoming a dealer, count me in for a kit!

I called them about this kit:
                            http://www.raceonusa.com/index.asp?P...OD&ProdID=5521

said it was in stock, ready to ship for about $900.00 to the door.
