    Potential part out - 91 325is auto

Looking to getting this car locally. It's a 91 325is auto, damage front and rear, asking price is $400.

Already check on local disposial fees, with a junk title, it's $5 (you pay towing)

What you guys think? Think I can profit $600 from this?

'91 is didn't come with ellipisoids did they?

No ellips in 91's. It will have sport interior and an LSD though. Assuming you sell those and the motor that should cover it.

It should have a 4.10LSD which is good money. Plastic bumpers and valances are going to be trashed so thats a -1. You'll easily make $600 in any case. If you spend the time to part a car out and only make $600 I don't think its worth it though.

The car is just over 100 miles away - looking if someone I know - or the owner has free towing.

Called AAA - they said you can't get 100mile towing untill you've been on their towing plan for 1 year. Might look into uhaul(I HATE U-HAUL)

I know it has a broken radiator - I'm waiting for pics from the owner.

Any towing advice? Alternatives to AAA?

To the best of my knowledge there was no "325is" in 1991. There was a 325i sport model offered but they were optioned differently. So, this particular car may or may not have an LSD.

On a side note, in case you happen to get the car and it happens to have grey carpet and it happens to be in great to good condition...I'll buy it off you...that is if you want to sell it...lol.

+1.........except for the part about buying the carpet.... :)

Oh and George- the only way you'll know if this is gonna work is to stop asking internet pseudo-friends and try it. It's a $400 gamble at worst.

Not sure what you mean by $5 disposal fee- around here you can usually get guys to haul off scrap steel for free, some will even pay you if you have alot of it. Check out craigslist or make a post to see if anyone will haul it off for free once you get done stripping it. OH, and whatever you do, DON't sell the cat for less than $75-80, it's worth at least that much in scrap value (IF it's an OEM BMW cat- aftermarket cats are worth less than $10.)
