so im going to fix the car..my buddy is gonna do all the repairs for $1500, and i have to find the rear susp parts myself, but he will install...so im lookin at about 1800 all in all. oh yeah and he said that if i was a regular customer, the car would be totalled and the damage would be about 3500... 8)
that price will not change...oh, and the car has a clean title, no accident history.

FRONT VALENCE IS ZENDER!!! STOP FILLING MY PM BOX PPL!!!
it is repairable, the 1/4 panel has to be cut off, and bmw sells a full quarter panel that has to be welded on. my frens body shop has been in business for 20 yrs, i think they know what they are doing. unless you have more exp than they do...
I never said I had more experience, smartass. Length of time in business has NOTHING to do with how good they are.
Do what you want.
BTW, they were ranked in the top 5 shops in san francisco by AAA, based on customer satisfaction.

sounds good to me.. always nice to see a car repaired properly instead of just junked. you going to keep that thing bronzit though?
hehe, thanks for the POSITIVE comment...yeah, its gonna remain bronzit...unless my frend cuts me a good deal and sprays it e36 midnite blue...dont know the real color name, just seen it on e36's...or maybe a custom color, like black with gold metallic, in rememberace of bronzit...

I've seen much worse repaired. As long as the frame is not bent (I doubt it is) your good.

Look... repaired well or not... doesn't matter. The car will still have been in a serious accident, and had a panel hacked off and welded back on. It will never (even if YOU think so) be perfect again.
If you were selling your car (after it was repaired) and I found that repair, I would laugh and walk away. The complexity of that repair is immense. I do not believe they will do it properly and have the repair be seemless.
In most cases like this the door jams (where they hack the panel off) are sloppy grinds or exposed welds etc etc.
Just part the car man. Use the money to buy yourself one that didnt fly off the road.
P.S. What is with the ///M POWER licence plate frame?
