I seen a VW Rabbit with antique/historic plates, in Maryland. In PA you can get classic tags for a car 20 years or older.

Funny thing is, the car was regestered in CT. 2007-1984= 23 years old at best...

Ugh! I hate to think that my car is the age it is. I had someone ask me if my car was a 1994 once.

You should be flattered. I love seeing the shock on people's faces when they ask me what year my car is, and I tell them it's an 86. Almost everyone always assumes early 90's. I get a kick out of it.

So my car is old enough.. wow

What are some opinions on having antique plates on our cars? On an M3 compared to a 325??

I think it would be kinda cool.

Average guess for my car is that its a 96 or a 97.

Ohio - you can get a Collectors Plate (similar) for an e30 M3.

It is limited driving, and for the classic plates the car has to be a limited production car 20 years or older and for the antique plates 25 years and back the car has to look like it rolled off of the showroom floor and you have to send in pics of your car to prove it's bone stock and new looking. I'm screwed on getting antique tags for my 72 vega cause its not stock no more. I hate PA laws on cars, thats why i'm glad that i live 4 miles from MD state line. MD cops can't say jack to me. In MD they have a street rod/hot rod tag that you can put on your car and run around with open headers.
