Coupe is growing on me, but I still don't like it's styling, looks too much like a camry with it's front end.... blah and I am getting over new cars with so much electronics everywhere.... nice thing with a turbo car though is how cheap it is to go faster....

Now a beautiful 2 coupe with a twin turbo v6......why even look at a 4 liter v8 M3, which would you prefer now though? 300 hp with a lot of potential or 415 hp?

I wish people would stop saying V6 damnit!
            It's a damn I6. There is no V about it. I = inline.

I had the opportunity to drive a 335i sedan at a recent BMW CCA event. The car is a joy to drive and has plenty of power. It keeps pulling harder and harder all the way to redline. The interior of the sedan is also very comfortable and elegant. The only thing is the exterior styling does not match the car's performance. I would never buy either 335i (coupe/sedan) on looks alone, the driving performance would be the only selling point for me.

I love this car. I got to drive one at school. Have you seen the turbos on it? No bigger than a couple of hair dryers.

Besides the E46 M3, no LSD was offered on the E46, iirc

                        Awesome car.

BTW: The DSC acts like an LSD. Not the same, but it doesn't really feel like an open diff with DSC.

What happened to the days when even BMW's base cars had LSD as an option.

                            ghey

Answer. If they did equip the 335i with an LSD it would be competition for the M3. BMW would not want that.

Sorry to disagree-but an open diff feels like an open diff regardless of what electronic gizmos you use to try to mask it. I know people get tired of me mentioning this, but I have owned 3 E46's and the lack of LSD really hurts-and DSC doesn't help make up for it at all in aggressive driving.

Another story regarding this: Back in April 2005 BMW was giving 'sneak peeks' of the not yet released E90 sedans at a number of BMW CCA clubs around the country. I attended the one for my chapter in New Orleans at the Superdome. The guy there representing BMW just did not need to be there. One of the questions asked of him was where is the LSD? His response was that DSC was able to perform the same duties and it was just not needed. He almost got laughed out of there on that one! Most everyone there were track junkies and knew this was BS.

What BMW should do is at least offer the LSD as a seperate option for around $500 or so. But it's probably never going to happen.
