BMW ETK shows it as a 325i Coupe.

    You just about got duped.

    EDIT: Production 7/1988

That's not even an 89 model year car.

It's been my experience, that the ETK does not show whether a 325 is an I or an IS.
If you try to bring it up.. you'll find that a 325is does not exist in the program.
      Just an observation...

that's probably because the differences are so minimal between the two.. how about this, if you like the car, it has the options you want, and it checks out mechanicaly, who cares if it's a 325is or just a "lowly" 325i?

might wanna make sure it has LSD though :P

My ETK doesn't for the 325 either, but it does differentiate between a 318i and 318is though. Strange.

that's because the 318i and 318is are entirely different cars, the 325i/is are almost exactly the same.

Hm.. could be a different version or something.
In the ETK that I have.. I can look up 325e.. but not 325es. 325i but not 325is. 535i but not 535is. You get the idea.
There are CERTAIN models, where it DOES designate sport model.. I don't really know why though. For example.. an E30 318is DOES exist. Crazy stuff.
